wallet containing...=wallet which contained....
for safekeeping...=to keep it safe 这里for表示一种目的

go doing形式表示做某事
e.g. go horse-riding骑马；go fishing钓鱼；go hunting打猎；go shopping购物
9, Imagine their dismay when they found a beautifully-cooked wallet and notes turned to ash!
dismay: 沮丧
beautifully-cooked wallet: 这里用了一种讽刺的口吻，这是一种幽默的手法
