thing意为“首先，一则，举个例说(表示作为其中一点理由)”，例如：
        　　【原文】How do you manage it all? Careful scheduling, for one thing.
        　　【译文】你是怎样处理这一切的呢?首先是细致地排出时间表。
        　　【原文】I can’t go. For one thing, I have no time.
        　　【译文】我不能去。理由之一是我没时间。
        　　另请注意：for one thing 常与for another(thing)连用，表示“首先，再者”，例如：
        　　【原文】I can’t go—for one thing, I have no money, and for another, I have too
much work.
        　　【译文】我不能去。一则我没有钱，二则我工作太多。
