【析句】复合句。句子主干为It is a huge task that the child performs and the fact that...challenges explanation,and连接两个并列句子。前句为it作形式主语，真正的主语是that引导的主语从句，主语从句中又包含主句和when引导时间状语从句;后句主语the fact后that引导同位语从句。
