看电影海报 学英语单词：《原罪》标题精讲

        　　说实话，《古墓丽影》Tomb Raider并没有给我留下深刻的印象。我第一次特别注意朱莉，是因为影片《原罪》Original Sin。

        　　original |əˈrɪdʒənl|常作形容词，意思是“最早的，原来的，有独创性的”，如the film in the original version这部电影的原版，original manuscript原稿，an original design有创意的设计。它也可作名词，意思是“原件”，如to read [something] in the original读某物的原文。
        　　与original相比，它的副词形式originally |əˈrɪdʒənəli|更为常用。下面列举几个例句。
        　　在《谋杀亲夫届的典范，8年干掉6个，挣了8百万，美元》中，有这么一句：Police originally thought the death of 75-year-old retired salaryman Isao Kakehi last December was the result of heart failure, until a sharp detective grew suspicious of Kakehi’s recent marriage just a month before to a woman he had met through a dating agency.警方起初以为75岁的已退休工薪阶层人士Isao Kakehi去年12月死于心力衰竭，后来一个尖锐的侦探开始怀疑Kakehi最近一个月前与通过婚恋机构相识的一位女性的婚姻。
        　　在《最是那奇葩的虐恋》中，有这么一句：When Morris and Holpin met through the site, he originally told her he had fathered 22 children—and only later admitted that the actual number was “around 40 kids.”他俩通过这家网站见面时，Morris告诉Holpin他育有22个孩子，过了段时日才承认，真实的孩子数是在40左右。
        　　在《腾格尔老师说：桃花源在马来西亚，也在他的梦里》中，有这么一句：They are banned from living on Malaysian soil—the Bajau are refugees from the Philippines originally.马来西亚禁止他们去马国国土上生活，因为他们最初是菲律宾的难民。
        　　在《这是一个绿色的故事【股民慎入!】》中，有这么一句：Mother Nature has reclaimed what was originally hers – covering everything in vibrant green vines.大自然母亲收回了原本属于她的东西——她用鲜绿色的藤蔓覆盖了一切。
        　　在《塔克拉玛干有吗?》中，有这么一句：Bored Panda, where we originally found the story, notes that more than 20,000 tourists are expected to visit the desert to see the extraordinary bloom. 我们是在Bored Panda上发现这件事儿的，这个网站指出，预计将有超过20000名游客会到这片沙漠来看这些异乎寻常的花儿。
        　　sin |sɪn|常用作名词，意思是“罪过，罪行，过错”，如to forgive [somebody's] sins宽恕某人的罪孽，to confess one's sins悔罪，it's a sin to do [something]做某事不应该。original sin即宗教中所谓”原罪“，认为人时生而有罪的，这与儒家的意识”人之初，性本善“是完全对立的。
        　　sin也可用作动词，意思是”犯过失“，如to sin against [somebody]/[something]亵渎某人/某物。
