　　abolish 取消，废除。指法律、制度、习惯、传统等的取消或废除。
　　They believe the death penalty should be abolished.他们认为死刑应该废除。
　　cancel撤消，解除。指将已安排好的活动、已计划好的事项或已做的事情取消。
　　I’ve canceled my subscription to the magazine.我取消了所订的杂志。
　　delete 删去。指将某些已写好的内容取消。
　　Delete his name from the list of members.把他从成员名单中取消?
　　eliminate 淘汰，排除。指经过惯常的程序或通过系统的办法将不需要的人或物清除或淘汰。
