备战中高级口译口试：口试热门话题考前预测

　　首先要恭喜同学们顺利通过了中高级口译笔试部分的考试。不过通过了笔试，只是良好的开端。谚语说 Well begun is half done. 但如果认为已经成功了一半未免乐观了些，因为口试部分的淘汰率比笔试部分高的多，许多在笔试部分取得高分的同学，在口试部分落马的屡见不鲜。所以同学们千万不要大意，一定要精心准备。
        　　一、口语部分
        　　这部分总体上不难，从往年经验来看，大多数同学在备考时有充足的时间准备。只要不信口开河或者磕磕巴巴讲不出话，大多数是没问题的。口语部分往往结合的是时事热点问题，以鼓励同学们尽可能多了解时事英语和热点词汇的表达方式。这些也是口译的基本素质。今年的热点问题很多，我印象中的热点话题包括：
        　　（1）转基因食品安全与否之争
        　　目前国内对转基因食品的安全性争议很大，大多数人表示怀疑乃至否定。因此，是否需要标明食品含有转基因成份，是当下里争议很大的话题。相关词汇：
        　　转基因作物genetically modifiedorganism，简称GMO
        　　食品安全food security
        　　健康风险health risk
        　　标注labeling
        　　杀虫剂pesticide
        　　（2）异地高考
        　　异地高考（可以翻译为NCEE for non-registered residents）是近年来讨论较多的话题。一方面，教育专家和社会人士为教育公平而呼吁，要求逐步实现异地高考，而政府也逐步推出相关政策，另一方面本地居民尤其是京津沪等大城市的居民则强烈反对，不希望牺牲自己子女的应有权益。相关词汇：
        　　高考 National College Entrance Exams
        　　教育公平 equal access to education
        　　重点大学 key universities
        　　类似话题还有：自主招生 independent recruitment；生源 student pool
        　　（3）莫言获得诺贝尔文学奖（新闻汇总）
        　　这个话题非常新，不知是否来得及列入考题当中。姑且留着这个备用吧，这个本身还是一个很好的讨论话题。相关词汇：
        　　诺贝尔文学奖 Nobel Prize for Literature
        　　莫言 Mo Yan
        　　文学翻译literary translation
        　　中国文化走出去 Chinese culture going international; internationalization of Chinese culture
        　　其它口语热点话题依然集中在应试教育、社会道德、环保、食品安全等方面，大家只要稍加留心就没有问题。
        　　二、口译部分
        　　口译部分的持续时间较长，题材复杂多样。难度较大。有的文本句式非常书面化，即使英语基本功还不错的同学，也无法hold住。对此，我们首先要把握一个基本原则，即以课本为纲。课本内容是最重要的考题来源。
        　　中级口译常见题型和话题：
        　　外国专家来沪工作
        　　圣诞（或中秋）晚会（常见词汇：秋高气爽、合家团圆）
        　　参观京河高科技园区（第2单元第4篇课文，常见词汇：走马观花）
        　　外商投资无绳电话（第3单元第3篇课文，800万美元是个吉利的数字）
        　　浪漫香槟（第7单元第2篇课文，重要词汇：pop, fizz 等）
        　　多伦多（第7单元第1篇课文）、华盛顿大教堂、丝绸之路

        　　以上列表仅供参考，它们只是出现几率略大一点，但实际上最充分的准备方法应当是将所有课文都一视同仁，将重要段落背诵下来。这样才能临阵不慌。
        　　高级口译常见题型和话题：
        　　高级口译的课文内容非常丰富，课文信息量大。且由于考试每次涉及的题量不大，所以这里仅就课外可能涉及的话题谈一谈。今年口译可能出现的热点话题。
        　　（1）伦敦奥运
        　　一如2008年的北京奥运会，这一重要赛事总是能够吸引大众的眼球。2012年伦敦奥运会上，中国奥运代表团再次取得辉煌成绩，确实可喜可贺。从往年试题来看，直到2010年世博会结束后，世博会等热门话题依然在考卷中出现。所以如果考一点关于伦敦奥运会的内容，不是没有可能。常见词汇和句型参见伦敦奥运会内容>>
        　　（2）钓鱼岛问题
        　　从国际关系角度，中美关系在中高口的口译部分出现较多，中日关系则较为罕见。但今年的钓鱼岛问题确实很严重，中日关系严重恶化。因此这一话题有可能以某种形式出现在高口的口译部分，套用一些在国际关系或中美关系中常见的词汇和句型。
        　　主权和领土完整 sovereignty and territorial integrity
        　　无可辩驳的证据 indisputable evidence
        　　自古以来，钓鱼岛就是祖国不可分割的一部分
        　　Diaoyu Islands have been an integral part of our country (China) since ancient times.
        　　注意：“钓鱼岛”要用拼音的形式来写，千万不要按照日方和美方的说法，说成Senkaku Islands。
        　　附中级口译课本上的部分常见句型：
        　　There is a variety of ways to invest in China. You may establish a joint venture with a Chinese partner, or a company solely-funded by yourself, in which you may manage your business in whatever way you prefer within the boundary of the Chinese laws, of course.
