　　These funny illustrations come from a story in the January 1893 issue of The Strand magazine, “Future Dictates of Fashion,” where they predicted the next 100 years of fashion. And they really, really missed the mark.
　　这些有趣的插图来自1837年1月的Strand杂志，杂志刊登了一篇题为“未来时尚概述”的文章，内容是未来一百年的服装潮流预测。但是，这预测真是不靠谱啊!
　　Well, I guess not too far off the mark for the turn of the century. But these fashions look a bit like a community theater production of My Fair Lady.
　　好吧，关于新世纪之初的预测还不算太离谱。但是也太像电影《窈窕淑女》里面社区剧院的戏服了吧。
