        　　More than 100 million people in China have been warned to stay indoors
after at least 10 Chinese cities issued red alerts this week in response to
forecasts of heavy smog.
        　　本周，中国至少十个城市相继发布严重雾霾天气红色预警，建议有关城市约一亿居民尽量避免户外活动。
        　　The city of Tianjin and the provinces of Hebei and Shandong all issued the
top-level alerts for the first time on December 23, reported the People’s Daily
Online; while areas in south China, such as Shanghai, Hangzhou and Guangdong,
are also shrouded in heavy smog.
        　　《人民日报在线》报道，12月23日，天津市、河北省、山东省首次发布最高水平预警;而上海、杭州和广东等华南地区也出现严重雾霾天气。
