Claudia Schiffer was discovered on the pages of Guess 23 years ago. The
super model, now 41, returns to Guess to celebrate the company’s 30th
anniversary。
The Huffington Post reports that Schiffer modeled in six campaigns between
1989 and 1991 for Guess with photographer Ellen von Unwerth. Unerth also
returned to celebrate Guess’ 30th anniversary by photographing Schiffer once
again。
Guess CEO Paul Marciano toldWomen’s Wear Daily that the sexy black and
white spread in 1989, had a huge impact on Guess, Schiffer, and photographer
Ellen von Unwerth。

Marciano said:”[Schiffer] was a turning point of Guess, she was a turning
point of Ellen’s career, Guess was a turning point of a life for Claudia… It
made her career in my view, and that made Guess a different company. Everybody
talked about the Guess Girl。”
Twenty three years later and people are still talking about that Guess
girl. Claudia Schiffer, who was just 17 when she first started modeling for
Guess, was a household name in the 1990s, has appeared on over 700 magazine
covers, and had an estimated worth of $55 million in 2002. She’s also made
appearances in movies like “Love Actually” and “Zoolander。”

Schiffer said:
“Shooting the Guess 30th anniversary campaign was like going back in time.
It brought back so many great memories and has been a lot of fun working
together again with Ellen and Paul。”
The Daily Mail reports that the “30 Sexy Years” campaign will feature
several more models who have previously modeled for Guess。
