◆map n.
　　表示“在地图上”，可用介词 in 或 on。如：
　　You can see it in the map. 你可以在地图上看到它。
　　Look it out in the map. 把它从地图上找出来。
　　If you don’t know where it is, look it up on the map. 如果你不知道它在什么地方，请查地图。
　　◆market n.
　　1. 表示具体的买卖东西的“市场”，是可数名词。如：
　　There are a lot of small markets in this town. 这个镇里有许多小市场。
　　2. 表示“去市场”，通常可省略冠词。如：
　　He went to (the) market to sell what he had made. 他去市场卖自制品。
　　有时表示“赶集”。如：
　　The market is held twice a week. 每周有两次赶集。
　　3. 有时用于引申义，表示相对于商品和销售意义上的“市场”或“市场需求”(可数或不可数)。如：
　　The product will find a good market in Europe. 这种产品会在欧洲有好的销路。
　　There is no (not much, a poor) market for these goods. 这些商品没有销路(销路不好，销路很差)。
　　4. 用于 on the market, 意为“出售”、“上市”等。如：
　　These computers aren’t yet on the market. 这些计算机还未上市。
　　注：有时用介词 in。如：
　　The house is in the market. 这座房子待售。
　　◆marriage n.
　　1. 表示“结婚”、“婚姻”，视含义的具体与抽象可用作可数或不可数名词。如：
　　Marriage is for life. 结婚是终身大事。
　　Their marriage is a happy one. 他们的婚姻是幸福的。
　　2. 表示与某人结婚，可用介词 to或 with。一般说来，强调动作时多用 to, 强调状态时多用 with。如：
　　I was surprised at her marriage to her teacher. 听说她嫁给了她的老师，我感到很惊讶。
　　My marriage with Mary is a happy one. 我与玛丽的婚姻生活很幸福。
　　以下同义表达大致同义，均表示 A 与 B 的结婚：
　　the marriage of [between] A and B
　　＝the marriage of A to [with] B
　　比较：动词 marry 作为及物动词，其后一般不用介词 to, with等介词。
