At a muskmelon store in Haikou in Hainan Province, customers can use
artificial intelligence technology to measure the sweetness of the melons on
offer, reports thepaper.cn.
据澎湃新闻报道，在海南省海口市的一家甜瓜店，顾客可以使用人工智能技术来测量甜瓜的甜度。
Each muskmelon on display has its own certificate that indicates its level
of sweetness, ranging from 90 percent, to 70 percent, to half-ripe. The measure
of sweetness listed on the certificate is based on an AI-assisted add-on inside
the popular Alipay payment app. Customers can upload a picture of a melon into
the Alipay add-on, which then provides a report about its sweetness and
ripeness.
每一个展出的甜瓜都有自己的甜度证书，表明甜度的等级，从九成熟、七成熟，到半熟的都有。证书上列出的甜度指标是基于支付宝(Alipay)内的一个人工智能辅助组件。用户可以将甜瓜的图片上传到支付宝组件中，然后支付宝组件就会给出甜瓜的甜度和成熟度报告。
Developed by Aliyun, Alibaba’s cloud computing and AI subsidiary, the
Alipay add-on relies on an AI algorithm trained on more than 150,000 pictures of
muskmelons with differing levels of ripeness. Its accuracy is said to be above
90 percent.
支付宝是由阿里巴巴的云计算和人工智能子公司阿里云(Aliyun)开发的，这个附加程序依赖于一个人工智能算法，据称它学习了5000多张甜瓜不同成熟度的图片样本数据，准确率超过90%。
Jiang Linbo, the owner of the melon store, said that classifying melons
according to their sweetness helps to match the fruit to the customer’s tastes.
"I think agriculture can be high-end, and I always thought AI technology should
be combined with agriculture," he said.
这家西瓜店的老板蒋林波(音)说，根据甜度对西瓜进行分类能满足顾客的不同口味。“我认为农业可以做的高大上，我一直认为人工智能技术应该与农业相结合，”他说。 |
