Four people suffered minor injuries in an earthquake that hit Mojiang Hani
Autonomous County, southwest China’s Yunnan Province at 10:31am Saturday, local
authorities said.
地方当局发布消息称，周六上午10点31分中国西南部云南省墨江哈尼族自治县发生地震，造成4人受伤。
According to the county government, the 5.9-magnitude quake had damaged 21
homes as of Saturday afternoon. Traffic, telecommunications, and power supply
are normal in most parts of Tongguan, a town nearest to the epicenter.
据县政府称，截至周六下午，这场5.9级的地震已经摧毁了21所房屋。在离震中最近的潼关镇的大部分地区，交通、电信和电力供应都正常。
The provincial seismological bureau said tremors were felt in the 15 towns
in Mojiang as well as cities including Kunming, the provincial capital.
云南省地震局表示，在墨江的15个城镇以及省会昆明等城市都有震感。
Rescuers in Tongguan told Xinhua that the casualties would not be high as
most villagers were farming outdoors when the quake struck.
在潼关的救援人员告诉新华社记者，伤亡人数不会很多，因为地震发生时，大多数村民都在户外耕作。
The Ministry of Emergency Management has initiated an emergency response
and dispatched working teams to the scene.
应急管理部已启动应急响应，并派出工作组赶赴现场。
Over 100 people from the local land and resources bureau, police office,
and civil affairs department have been sent to evaluate the disaster and carry
out disaster relief efforts.
当地国土资源局、警察局、民政部门的100多人被派往灾区进行评估和救灾工作。
According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, the epicenter had a
depth of 11 km.
