“Help others, and you will be helped when you are in deed.”
A saying handed down from the past history goes like this, “Help others,
and you will be helped when you are in deed.” which will benefit us a lot if we
can keep it in mind. The saying tends to inform us of a truth that helping
others is of great importance.
Why we are supposed to help others? Reasons are quite simple and can be
listed as follows. First of all, helping others, as a good virtue, is
significant to an individual. To put it in another way, if we are persons with
good virtue, there is no doubt that others would like to help us more. It means
that if we help others in trouble someday, they will do us a favor in return.
What’s more, helping others will not only help other people but also help
yourself. You will feel happy and satisfy when assisting others. Sometimes, we
don’t expect that the person we have helped will help us later, a word of thanks
is enough.
To sum up, helping others plays a vital part in a healthy society. As far
as I’m concerned, the more we help others, the more help we will get in our
daily life.

There goes a saying that “Seek to understand others, and you will be
understood.” To put it in another way, we are supposed to put ourselves in
others shoes first when we are communicating with others. Obviously, the saying
illustrates to us the importance of understanding others.
Why we are supposed to understand others? Reasons are quite simple and can
be listed as follows. First and foremost, understanding others matters a great
deal in this world which is full of diversity. People belong to different
cultures, languages and faiths, so it is easier to perceive that people are
different than they are the same. Moreover, understanding is the basis of
building friendships with others. Finally, understanding others can help people
avoid conflicts. Sometimes, it is hard for people to reach an agreement on a
certain issue. We need to respect people’s opinions, never argue with them, just
to feel as they feel it.
In conclusion, understanding others plays an extremely important part in a
conversation. As students, we are supposed to understand others first in our
daily life. Only by this way, can we be understood by others.
