零基础学英语：名词所有格与of词组的相似和不同

　　英语学习中，很多人常用”的”来学习名词属格，这也不失为一种理解方式。但是我们知道，英语中，除了名词属格-’s表示“的”，of词组同样也可以。那么，这两者之间有什么异同点呢?
        　　一、相同点：
        　　1.表示所有关系：the body of the dog=the dog’s body
        　　2.表示主谓关系：the arrival of my father=my father’s arrival
        　　3.表示动宾关系：the defeat of the enemy=the enemy’s defeat
        　　4.表示来源：the law of Newton= the law developed by Newton
        　　二、不同点：
        　　1.表示事物类别或属性，只能用名词属格：men’s shoes男鞋
        　　2.固定习语中，只能用名词属格：
        　　a bird’s-eye view鸟瞰 a wolf in sheep’s clothing披着羊皮的狼
        　　a hair’s breadth间不容发 at a stone’s throw 一步之遥
        　　3.带有较长修饰语的名词，只能用of词组：
        　　the suggestions of the teachers given at the parents’ meeting
        　　4.“the +形容词”式的名词，只能用of词组：
        　　the life of the poor穷人的生活
        　　由此看来，尽管名词属格和of-词组有很多共性，在很多情况下，两者可以通用，但它们之间仍存在着差异。我们需要在明确两者共性的基础上，区分个性，具体语境具体分析。
