The subway system in the US city of Boston will soon be equipped with train
cars "Made in China," which will be shipped to the city in December.
美国波士顿的地铁系统很快就会配备“中国制造”的列车，在12月就会送达该城市。
The current train cars in Boston have been running for decades and are too
old to provide a modern trip experience.
目前，波士顿使用的列车已经好几十年了。由于时间太长久了，并不能给乘客提供舒适的现代列车乘坐体验。
Made in northeastern China’s Jilin Province, the new cars can run at a
speed of 102 kilometers per hour.
新的列车由中国东北部的吉林省制造，运行速度达102公里/时。
Although designed according to the US standard, the producing method of the
cars is owned by a Chinese company named CRRC, the China Railway Rolling Stock
Corporation.
列车虽按照美国标准设计，但是具体制造由中国公司-“中国铁路机车车辆公司”负责。
The final products match the Boston subway’s strict maximum weight
requirement of 34 tons per car, which barred a lot of world-famous companies
from getting the order form.
由于波士顿的地铁要求比较严苛，每辆列车最大承重不超过34吨，因此，把很多欲承接此项目世界知名的列车制造公司拒之门外。
The cars have to be solid, but light-weight at the same time, technology
manager of the project Hong Haifeng told CCTV’s Mandarin news channel. "And they
have to be compatible with the century-old facilities in Boston."
该项目的技术经理洪海峰在接受中央电视台中文新闻频道是说，“列车要兼具坚固和身轻的特点。”而且还要考虑到与波士顿列车轨道和其他地铁相关设备匹配性。
This is the first time for Chinese rail equipment to be used in the United
States. The new cars are designed to run for 30 years.
这是中国首次将自己的铁路设备在美国运行。新的列车计划使用30年。
CRRC showcased the model car in Boston on April 3. CCTV reported that the
model was praised by the local leaders and citizens, including the governor of
Massachusetts Charlie Baker?.
今年4月3日，中国铁路机车车辆公司在波士顿时运行。据央视报道，该列车得到了当地领导和市民的一致好评，其中还包括马塞诸塞州的州长查理贝克。
We’re really looking forward to putting these in transit, he said, adding
that the upgrades will bring the Boston subway into the modern era.
