How did you spend your summer? How about rollerskating all the way to
Tibet?
你的暑假是怎么过的?如果一路轮滑去拉萨，会是一种怎样的感觉?
That’s exactly what Quanzhou College of Technology junior student Zheng Xu
did, making the 2150 kilometer journey from Chengdu to Lhasa in 27 days, reports

这正是泉州轻工职业学院大三学生郑旭的壮举，他从成都出发，27天滑行了2150公里到达拉萨，据《法制晚报》报道。
Most people choose to make the journey by bicycle, but having been a member
of a rollerskating club for three years, he decided it was the only way for him
to do it.
大多数人都选择骑行到拉萨，但作为有着三年资历的轮滑俱乐部会员，他决定按自己的方式去实现梦想。
He started planning the trip in 2016, taking a part-time job to get money
to buy supplies and equipment, and finally set off from Chengdu on July 8.
2016年他就开始为此行做准备，打了一份兼职工以挣钱购买物资和装备，最终于7月8日开启了他的轮滑之旅。
It wasn’t an easy trip, with Zheng battling speeding traffic, the weather
and altitude on his quest. At one point he had to seek treatment in hospital. He
brought only necessities including food, some money, raincoats and shoes, and
cut down the weight of his backpack from 24kg to just 6.
这不是一次轻松的旅行。一路上郑旭得和较快的滑速、天气及海拔高度作斗争。他还一度不得不在医院里接受治疗。他只带了食物、少量现金、雨衣和鞋子等一些必需品，将背包的重量从24公斤减到了6公斤。
But he made plenty of new friends, meeting the Shanxi Medical University
cycling team along the way.
不过他结交了许多朋友，还认识了山西医科大骑行团队的成员们。
Zheng rollerskated the Gongga snow-capped mountains, and saw many
spectacular views along the way. He says his trip was a great boost to his
perseverance.
郑旭轮滑经过了贡嘎雪山，一路上见到了许多壮观的风景。他说本次旅行极大的磨砺了他的毅力。 |
