　　Last night, I helped my mother steam buns. After a moment, father asked me,
"How much water did you put in the pot?" "Water? Oh, my! I forgot the water!" I
answered. "What? You forgot?!" Father screamed into the kitchen, turned off the
gas, and hurriedly put the nearly burnt pot into water to cool down. Thank God
that nothing happened. "It would have been on fire if I hadn't noticed it in
time. "Father said. But I just stood there, too scared to say anything.
        　　昨天晚上，我帮妈妈蒸馒头。过了一会儿，爸爸问我：“你放了多少水呀?”“水?噢，天哪!我忘了放了!”我回答说。“什么?你忘了?!”爸爸惊叫一声跑进厨房，关掉煤气，迅速将那口快烧焦的锅放进水里冷却。幸好没有发生危险。“如果我来迟一步，就会发生火灾了。”爸爸说。而我呆呆地站在那里，吓得一句话也说不出。
