Construction is underway on what will eventually be China’s deepest subway
station, reports thepaper.cn.
据澎湃新闻报道称，重庆正在建设一座中国最深的地铁站。
Crews have begun tunneling Line 10 in southwest China’s Chongqing
Municipality.
在重庆，施工人员们已经开始建设地铁10号线。
Line 10, to run below the existing Line 6, will require passengers going
almost 95 meters underground.
地铁10号线会在目前已有的地铁6号线下运行，乘客必须下到地下95米深的地方才能乘坐地铁。
Currently, the Hongtudi Station on Line 6 in Chongqing takes 3 minutes on
an escalator to reach the platform, which is 60 meters below ground.
目前重庆已建成最深的地铁站是“红土地”地铁站，距离地面60米，要乘坐3分钟电梯才能到达。
Line 10’s stop will take people down an extra 30 meters. The
yet-to-be-named stop, being built below Hongtudi Station, is being dug at
approximately 94.5 meters below the surface. This is the equivalent of 31
stories underground.
而地铁10号线的这一站还将更加深入地下30多米。这座尚未被命名的车站位于红土地车站之下，深度将近94.5米，差不多是31层楼的高度。
Once complete, Chongqing’s Line 10 will have 19 different stops, running 34
kilometers. It’s due to be completed sometime in 2017.
一旦建成之后，重庆地铁10号线将有19个不同的车站，运行里程34公里。该地铁站预计将于年内完工。
The existing Line 6 and the new Line 10 will share 3 exits. A total of 91
elevators will also be available for passengers.
目前已有的6号线将和10号线共用3个出口。乘客共计可以使用91部电梯。
Chongqing is renowned for its steep terrain, as the city was originally
built among the local mountains.
