　　据说花木兰是北魏人,北方人喜欢练武。当时,北方游牧民族(nomadic people)不断骚扰,北魏政府规定每家出一名男子上前线(frontline)。木兰的父亲年纪大了,于是木兰决定替父从军,从此开始了她长达12年的军队生活。这对很多男人来说都是艰苦的事情,但是花木兰最后完成了自己的使命,12年后胜利还家。千百年来,花木兰一直是受中国人尊敬的一位女性,因为她既勇敢又淳朴。迪士尼公司(the Walt Disney Company)还将花木兰的故事搬上了焚幕,受到了全世界的欢迎。
