inherit vt.继承;遗传某特征
[记]在(in)我妈妈她(her)身上获得的东西就是继承(in-her-it)的东西;跟她某个东西很像，就是遗传了她的一个特征。
[搭]inherit sth.from sb.从某人那儿继承/取得某物 inherit sth. of sb.遗传了某人的某特征(sth.of
sb.就是“某人的某东西”，是一个所有格，并不是的搭配，如：I inherit the smart brain of my
father.技继承了我父亲聪明的大脑。)
[例]Every one has a dream that one day we will inherit a large fortune from
a distant, mystic, and affluent
relative.每个人都梦想着有一天可以从一个远房的、神秘的、富有的亲戚那儿继承一大笔财产。
heir n.继承人;后嗣
[记]他(he)的爱儿(i-r)，就会成为他的继承人(heir)。
[注]h这里不发青，所以读音就似“爱儿”。

dragon.中国人认为自己是龙的后嗣子孙。
worship n.礼拜;崇拜;爱慕
[记]我(wo)儿(r)子买了一艘大船( ship)，所以大家都很崇拜他。
[例]It is anything but(绝不)uncommon in present that youngsters in increasing
numbers, ranging from pupils to graduates, blindly and insanely(疯狂地)worship
celebrities and superstars, such as singers, actors and

[记]一个(a)喜欢倒腾(dul-t)的人，肯定是成年人。
[变]adulthood n.成年;成年时期
[例]Mothers and fathers can do a lot to ensure a safe landing in early
adulthood for their kids.父母可以做很多事来确保孩子在刚进入成年期时可以安全着陆。
agent n.代理人;代理商;成分
[根]ag-表示“做”，它是act的变化——c和g发音很类似;你可以理解成“阿哥( a-g)”。阿哥一天到晚肯定要做很多事。
[记]ag-做;ent人。帮你做事的人，就是代理商、代理人;起作用的东西，就是成分。
[变]agency n.代理机构(如travel agency旅行社)
[搭]CIA-Central Intelligence Agency
中央情报局(agent还可以表示“特工”，所以这里的agency就是“特工处”。)
[例]The effective agent in this medicine will prevent the disease from
recurring soon.这个药里的有效成分能防止疾病的快速复发。 |
