Perish
To perish means to be destroyed and to be in ruins. What perished? What was the cause? What will be the outcome?
This week's topic: They did not want it to perish... (90-110 words)

范例1：
When the reefs were destroyed, those depending on them would perish. Without a habitat for them to seek shelter and to search for food, these creatures could not survive. Once one part of the food chain was disturbed and/or broken, the entire chain was affected. Nothing in nature stood alone; everything formed one part of the intricate network. Preserving nature was not some noble cause, something done for the benefit of others. Environmental conservation was the only way to help ourselves, because humans were a part of this delicate network.
