“Okay, I'll talk to you later,” Al said to his partner before turning off his ear monitor. After returning home, he quickly unpacked and cleaned up. It did annoy him when he had to abort the mission, but he did not feel sorry he walked away. By the end, he was getting a bad vibe. It almost felt like a trap. It was better to save strength to fight another day. Having been without sleep for he did not know how long, sleep was now the reward he deserved.
