Where do pesticides fit into the picture ofenvironmental disease? We have seen that they nowpollute soil,water and food, that they have the powerto make our streams fishless and our gardens andwoodlands silent and birdless. For these very reasons the danger iseasily ignored. It is human nature to shake off what may seem to us a threat of futuredisaster.
