（1）ask、demand等表示“要求”
1. He asked that the letter should be given to boss immediately. 他要求马上把信件交给老板。
2. He asked that she should call her father. 他要求她打电话给她爸爸。
3. Russia demanded that Unita send a delegation to the peace talks. 俄罗斯要求安盟派代表团参加和谈。
4. the police demanded that he give them the names. 警察要他说出那些人的姓名。
（2）desire、intend表示“希望、打算”
1. She desires that he buy this house. 她希望他买下这所房子。
