        Silence Is Gold
        　　When we talk of the famous proverb "Silence is gold", we should not simply
label it as right or wrong, but explore it in depth.
        　　当我们谈到“沉默是金”这一著名的谚语时，我们不应该简单地把其标注为正确或错误，而应该进行深入探讨。
        　　This proverb is especiaUy true under several situations. First, if we have
made a promise not to let out a secret, we should always keep silent. Second, we
should avoid talking over facts or statistics of which we are not sure. Third,
whenever we are expressing our ideas， brevity is the soul of wit and talking too
much will always lead to faults and mistakes.
        　　这一谚语在一些情况下尤其如此。首先，如果我们作出了承诺要保守秘密，我们应该始终保持沉默。第二，我们应该避免谈论我们不确定的事实或统计数据。第三，无论什么时候我们表达自己的想法时，言贵简洁，说话太多往往会导致错误。
        　　Nevertheless, there are also some exceptions. If we find out a flaw in
other's speaking or writing, we should not hesitate a moment to point it out.
And to friends or acquaintances seeking advice, we should feel free to help
them.
        　　不过，也有一些例外。如果我们在他人的说话或写作中发现了一个错误，我们应该毫不犹豫地指出来。在朋友或熟人征寻意见时，我们应该随时帮助他们。
        　　In a word, we can draw the conclusion that in most cases "silence is gold",
but in certain circumstances, talking is the right choice. (155 words)
