Topic 19 On Foreigners’ Learning Chinese
Nowadays, Chinese, our mother tongue, is enjoyingan unprecedented
popularity in the world.
Over two hundred Confucius Institutes have been setup in sixty-nine
countries,and many foreigners areattracted by the old, mysterious and
charminglanguage.
Several factors account for the enthusiasm forlearning Chinese.
Firstly, with the rapid economic development, Chinahas experienced a
dramatic rise in its internationalinfluence,which enlarges the need of many
countries for professionals with a proficiency inChinese language.
Secondly, Chinese serves as a useful tool for foreigners to investigate the
splendid Chineseculture and its rich connotations.
Finally, the wide spread of Chinese is partly due to the every endeavor
made by plenty ofChinese training organizations.
The popularity of learning Chinese has not only increased my national
pride, but made merealize the significance of economic development.
Besides, we college students should first learn our mother tongue well, and
then take theresponsibility to popularize it.
