Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday congratulated Donald Trump on
becoming president-elect of the US, and said he hoped they could work together
to boost China-US relations so as to better benefit peoples around the
world.
本周三，中国国家主席习近平祝贺川普当选成为下一任美国总统，并且表示说希望两人能够共同努力推动中美关系发展，从而更好地造福全世界人民。
In his congratulatory message, Xi said that China is the world’s largest
developing country and the US the largest developed power, and both bear a
responsibility to maintain world peace and stability and boost global
development and prosperity, and they also share extensive interests.
在祝贺信中，习近平表示说中国是世界上最大的发展中国家，而美国则是世界上最大的发达国家，两国都肩负着维护世界和平与稳定、促进全球发展和繁荣的责任，并且中美两国也拥有广泛的共同利益。
To develop a long-term, healthy and stable relationship is in line with the
fundamental interests of the two peoples, Xi said.
习近平表示，发展长期健康稳定的中美关系，符合两国人民根本利益。
"I highly value the relations between China and the US, and I am looking
forward to working together with you to expand China-US cooperation in every
field, at the bilateral, regional and global levels, on the basis of the
principles of non-conflict, non-confrontation, mutual respect and win-win
cooperation, with differences controlled in a constructive manner, so as to push
China-US relations further forward from a new starting point, better benefiting
the peoples of the two countries and other countries," Xi said.
习近平说道：“我高度重视中美关系，期待着同你一道努力，秉持不冲突不对抗、相互尊重、合作共赢的原则，拓展两国在双边、地区、全球层面各领域合作，以建设性方式管控分歧，推动中美关系在新的起点上取得更大进展，更好造福两国人民和各国人民。” |
