Tucking the cuffs of his work gloves a bit, Doug wanted to make sure he would have a good grip on the object before picking it up. Equally important, no fingerprints should be left anywhere on site. Carefully picking up the thicker base, Doug lifted the glass sculpture with both hands. The art piece was heavier than he expected. With great caution, he inspected the piece in his hands from various angles. Because of the way the glass was coloured and the type of colouring used, the art sculpture caught the light differently at different angles.
