But first there's no end in sight to the flow of frustrated and exhausted people trying to make their way into the European Union. At Hungary's border with Serbia on Tuesday, the authorities began bussing tired migrants to a nearby registration centre, but in the distance more people could be seen making their way towards the border crossing. Now the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker is expected to announce plans for EU countries to share out up to 160,000 refugees. It's an idea that has met fierce opposition from member states where it's been raised in the past. But those member states have been criticised by the UN. We'll hear more about those criticisms in a moment. She said the way Europe handles the crisis will affect the kind of Union it becomes. |
