境外投资 outbound investment

　　据报道，2010年中国政府将继续推动境内外投资，吸引外资，实施“走出去”发展战略，实现中国经济持续健康发展。
        　　The Chinese government will continue encouraging outbound investment while attracting foreign investment in 2010 for "stable and relatively fast" growth of the country's economy, a government official has said.
        　　一位政府官员说，为了保证国家经济“稳定和相对快速”的发展，2010年中国政府会继续鼓励境外投资，同时吸引外来投资。
        　　在上面的报道中，outbound investment就是“境外投资”或“对外投资”。相对地，inbound investment就是“(吸引外国公司到我国)境内投资”。Outbound的意思是“向外去的”，例如：an outbound trip to Norway(去挪威的国外旅行);outbound tourism是“出境旅游”。同理，“入境旅游”就是inbound tourism。Inbound既可以表示“入境的，入站的”，也可以表示“归航的，回程的”，例如：an inbound station(入境站);an inbound ship(返航的船);The inbound flights were delayed by the storm.(归航班机因暴风雨而推迟。)
        　　上文中提到的foreign investment就是“外资”。“外资”也可以用overseas investment来表示，不过overseas investment既可以指国外来的投资，也可以指向国外投资。向国外投资即境外投资也可以用outgoing investment来表示。
