英语热词：八城市将实行“汽车限购”

　　中国汽车工业协会7月10日在汽车数据信息发布会称，继上海、北京、广州和贵阳之后，天津、深圳、杭州、石家庄、重庆、青岛、武汉、成都八个城市或加入汽车限购行列。

        　　Eight more cities are likely to announce policies this year curbing the purchase of vehicles for private use, as worries about pollution and traffic congestion rise around the country, an official from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said on Wednesday.
        　　一位中国汽车工业协会的官员本周三表示，由于全国上下对污染和交通堵塞的担忧日趋严重，另外八个城市可能会在今年宣布实行私用汽车限购政策。
        　　在这里“限购私用汽车”的表达是to curb the purchase of vehicles for private use，curb一词主要为“抑制、限制”之意，如：curb inflation(抑制通货膨胀)，curb the spread of AIDS(控制艾滋病的蔓延)等。另外，汽车限购还可以使用名词性短语vehicle purchase restrictions表示，实行该政策的地区每年将设定汽车购买配额(vehicle purchase quotas)。
        　　石家庄市政府在网站上表示准备在2015年之前实行“车牌摇号”( a lottery for license plates)，为了减轻交通拥堵，石家庄还打算实行牌照单双号限行(odd-even license plate system)措施。
