        　　Bo Xilai, former Communist Party of China chief of Chongqing Municipality, stood trial in open court Thursday on charges of taking bribes, embezzlement and abuse of power at the Jinan Intermediate People's Court in East China's Shandong province.

        　　微博直播“公开受审”(to stand trial in open court)是公开审判制度(open trial system)的新形式，是近年庭审使用新媒体的标志性事件。公开审理还可以用to be heard in public/open court来表达，如：China allows death penalty cases to be heard in open court beginning 2006(自2006年起，中国允许死刑案件公开审理)。
        　　7月25日，薄熙来案由山东省济南市人民检察院(Jinan People's Procuratorate)向济南市中级人民法院提起公诉(public prosecution)。起诉书(indictment)指控，被告人薄熙来依法应当以受贿罪(taking bribes)、贪污罪(embezzlement)、滥用职权罪(abuse of power)追究刑事责任(criminal responsibility)，并予以数罪并罚(joinder of punishment for plural crimes)。
