　　中国总理李克强和印度总理辛格23日在北京举行会谈，双方共同见证了两国边防合作协议等9个文件的签署。在会谈后共同会见记者时，中印总理不约而同地提到，为了两国25亿人口的福祉，中印需要携手合作，共谋发展。

        　　China and India made a major step forward in their ties on Wednesday with an agreement on border defense cooperation and measures to promote regional economic integration.
        　　中国和印度周三签署了边防合作协议和一系列促进区域经济一体化的协议，两国关系向前迈出了重要一步。
        　　Agreement on border defense cooperation就是“边防合作协议”，文件的签署有利于维护两国边境地区的和平与安宁(maintaining peace and tranquility of the border)。中印一致认为，双方共同利益远大于分歧，双方有智慧、有能力管控和解决分歧，避免影响两国关系整体发展。
        　　另外，中印两国将加强在基础设施建设(infrastructure construction)方面的合作，推进孟中缅印经济走廊(BCIM Economic Corridor, involving Bangladesh, China, India and Myanmar)建设，并且积极探讨产业园区(industrial park)建设，逐步缓解两国贸易不平衡状况(trade imbalance)，逐步实现贸易动态平衡。
        　　今年4月中旬，中印两国曾发生持续三周的边界对峙(border standoff)局面，双方积极协商并最终结束对峙。
