　　10月18日，《新快报》记者陈永洲被长沙警方以“涉嫌损害商业信誉罪”跨省刑事拘留。之前，该记者曾采写上市公司中联重科的负面报道。

        　　Chen, who has been in criminal detention since Saturday, faces charges of "damaging business reputation" five months after the newspaper published his reports that Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Development, a giant engineering company in Changsha, allegedly falsified its sales and revenue in Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces.
        　　陈永洲自上周六起以“涉嫌损害商业信誉罪”被刑事拘留，5个月前，陈所在的报纸(《新快报》)曾刊登他写的一系列有关长沙工程公司巨头中联重科涉嫌在湖南、湖北及江西等省销售造假行为的报道。
        　　Damaging business reputation就是“损害商业信誉”，是指捏造并散布虚假事实(fabricating and spreading false facts)、损害他人商业信誉和商品声誉、给他人的权益造成重大损失的行为。
        　　长沙警方称陈永洲有关中联重科的负面报道(negative reports)属于捏造事实(fabricating facts)，未经认真核实(without a proper verification process)。而《新快报》方面则表示，陈永洲采写相关报道是正当职务行为(doing his job)，希望长沙警方能够释放该记者并在法律框架内解决该问题(to solve the problem within the legal framework)。周六，央视播出该记者受访视频、承认收人财物发表失实报道(receiving money to write defamatory reports)后，《新快报》于周日在头版刊登公开道歉声明。
