　　卫生部近日发布《关于停止电刺激治疗“网瘾”技术临床应用的通知》，对近期各地出现的“网瘾电击疗法”做出暂不宜应用于临床的研究结论，要求各地立即停止该项治疗。
　　China has banned the use of shock therapy to treat Internet addiction after its use at one hospital sparked nationwide controversy.
　　因一家医院实行电击疗法在全国引起争议，中国已颁布禁令停止使用电击疗法治疗网瘾。
　　上面报道中，shock therapy就是“电击疗法”，也叫shock treatment，指a form of aversion therapy where an electric shock is used as a negative stimulus(用电击对(患者)产生负面刺激的一种厌恶疗法)，通常是电击患者脑部使其产生痉挛以达到治疗的目的。
　　其实，这种疗法原来是跟interpersonal therapy(人际关系疗法)、cognitive-behavioral therapy(认知行为疗法)、color therapy(色彩疗法)等方法一样是用于治疗psychological/mental disease的，用来治疗Internet addiction(网瘾)，在clinical application(临床应用)上看来还需要进一步研究了。
