人员大改组 Shake-up

　　Google于3月26日宣布将裁员近200人，这是Google迄今为止最大幅度的裁员。作为最盈利的企业之一，Google如今也感受到了金融危机的寒意，这无疑反映了当下全球时势的严峻。Google此次裁员是为了缩减开支，以保护其利润额，防止股价继续下滑。被裁的员工主要集中在广告销售部门。

　　这(Google的裁员幅度)和报业、零售业、汽车业、金融业去年的大规模裁员相比并不算什么，但是Google的“清理门户”无疑反映了当下全球形势的严峻。
　　在上面的报道中，shake-up的意思是“(人员的)大改组、大变动”，放在文中特指当前许多行业的大规模裁员。例如：a series of personnel shake-ups(一系列的人事变动)。
　　shake-up除了指人员的改组之外，也指“(政策等的)剧变”，例如：a political shake-up(政治剧变)，a shake-up in regulations(规章制度的重大变革)。
　　shake-up因为是由动词词组shake up转变而来的名词，因此也有和shake up相近的意思，如“摇匀”、“(把靠垫等)抖松”、“震惊、打扰”以及“激励”等。例如：doing the pillow shake-up (抖动枕头使之恢复膨松)。又如：The drivers suffered a shake-up from the collision.(双方司机因为撞车都受惊不小)。We need some shake-ups at such hard times. (在这种艰难的时刻我们需要一些激励)。
