　　十一黄金周，许多人选择出游，也有许多人恐惧外面的拥挤而选择在家消遣这难得的假期。上网是他们必做的事情之一。随着Facebook等各种社交网站的崛起，网上社交已经成为年轻人的一种消遣方式，请看报道：
　　The growth of social networking sites , such as Facebook, has seen the line between real and virtual friendship become increasingly blurred. These sites enable users to create a profile of their personal information, keep in touch with their friends and even meet new people with similar interests. For some people, having more than 500 "friends" on a social networking site seems very natural.
　　报道中的social networking site就是“社交网站”，简写为SNS。你在网上认识的人可能和现实中的完全不同，或是在现实中根本不存在，这种不是真实世界中的友情就是virtual friendship(虚拟友情)，“虚拟朋友”就是virtual friend。由于网络本身就是虚拟的，我们把这个世界叫做 virtual world。
　　很多人在网上和陌生人交友提供的资料都不是真实的，所以，喜欢玩社交网站的千万不要陷入太深。
