　　他表示气象专家自2003年以来已经为人工影响天气做好了准备，尤其是在减雨方面，不过他也承认该项技术作用仍然有限。
　　上述报道中，artificial weather modification就是“人工影响天气”，也叫artificial weather manipulation 或者weather control;我们很熟悉的“人工影响天气”方式——“人工增雨”就是artificial precipitation/rainfall enhancement，而“人工降雨”则是artificial rainfall infiltration。
