　　据了解，北京共有24家医院被北京奥组委指定为奥运会定点医院，这些奥运定点医院在组织机构、工作制度、工作流程、双语标识、绿色通道、无障碍设施、语言服务能力以及兴奋剂、违禁药品管理等方面均达到了奥运规范标准。

　　上述报道中，designated hospital就是“定点医院”，“奥运会定点医院”就是designated hospital for the Olympic Games，或者Olympic designated hospital。Designated在这里就是selected or named for a duty，即“选定，指定”的意思，比如： designated website“指定网站“，designated textbook “指定教材”，等等。
