　　文中的detonate和explode的意思相似，表示“爆炸”，如，The dynamite detonated.(炸药爆炸了。)作及物动词用时，detonate可指“引爆”，用英文可解释为to cause to explode，比如，to detonate an atomic device(引爆一个原子装置)。Detonate的名词形式是detonation。
