　　Cold front 的意思是"冷锋"，即冷空气气团的前锋部分。Front在气象学中指的是"锋"，也就是冷暖气流的交界处。如：active front(活跃锋)，arctic front(北极锋)。此外，"寒流"可表达为cold current.
