　　“民生”是本次两会代表委员最关心的问题，也是政府工作报告的关键词。“民生”如何用英语来表达，请看“温家宝总理记者招待会”上人民日报记者提问：

　　在“温家宝总理记者招待会”上，人民日报记者就《政府工作报告》中的“民生”政策问总理，如何在制度上保证这些政策和资金真正落到实处、发挥效益，让百姓得到实惠。
　　由这段提问可知，“民生”相应的英文表达是“people's well-being”。此外，在特定语境下，“民生”也可表达为“people's livelihood”。
　　就汉语层面而言，温总理《政府工作报告》中所指的“民生”重在强调人民的“福祉安康”，由此，与“livelihood”(生计)相比，“well-being”更贴切表达了总理的本意。
