　　由报道可知，“彩信服务”相应的英文表达是“multimedia messaging service”，而我们常说的“彩信”则可表达为“multimedia message ”。“Multimedia”直译为“多媒体”，我们汉语中的“彩(信)”实指“短信由图象、动画、声音等多媒体形式呈现”，由此，“Multimedia”即体现了“彩”的本质意义。
　　此外，报道中的“pirated CD”指的是“盗版光碟”，而“ring tone”则为“手机铃音”。
