个人所得税起征点提高

在今年的政协会议上，多位代表委员提议调整收入的二次分配格局，个税起征点调至5000元。目前，我国个税起征点为2000元，而在2008年3月1日之前，我国的个税起征点还是1600元。但民众一直反映起征点过低，已经不符合当前的形势发展。

China's current monthly individual income tax cutoff point is 2,000 yuan.
         
        　　全国政协委员建议提高个税起征点以减轻中低收入人群的压力。我国目前的个税起征点为2000元。
         
        　　“起征点”表示一个门槛，一个界限，因此可以表达为“threshold”或“cutoff point”，那么，“个人所得税起征点”可以表达为individual/personal income tax cutoff point/threshold。
