He felt he had to dig around a bit by himself first. Without any information on hand, Wolfe would feel vulnerable. He would not even know what to ask. But then again, he did not even know where to start his search. It was just that all the happenings were too strange, so he thought about trying to figure out what was going on. Well, that was what he had in mind. Before he had a chance to carry out his plan though, he was loaded with an overwhelming amount of work in the office.
