        Writing: imagine a scenario or express your opinion
        Perk
        Perk means to rise up, usually in a cheerful manner. What is perking? Why is it perking? Where does the action take place?
        This week's topic: They perked up... (90-110 words)

        2) perk up one's ears
        3) perk up one's head
        4) add a perk in one's step
        5) Instead of writing a scenario, feel free to comment on the story below.
        范例1：
        He reached out and pressed the button for the elevator. Nothing happened... the button remained unlit. He pressed the button a few more times. Still, the button remained stubborn and unlit. It could be that just the light for the button was malfunctioning, but then he perked up his ears and listened; there was not any noise at all coming from cranking of the elevator shaft nor turning of the wheels. The machine seemed to be completely dormant. "Is the elevator down for maintenance?" Shawn wondered, "I don't recall receiving any notification about this..."
