        Although the black tint of the crystal bottle is slight, from Doug's angle, he could not see the content inside. For whatever reason, perhaps out of curiosity, he reached for the bottle. He probably just wanted to find out if the bottle was full, empty, or somewhere in between. He knew well enough that he did not have time, but he just felt the need to pick up the bottle. As soon as he picked up with bottle with one hand, he heard the card reader outside the department office sounded a loud beep.
