It was a work gathering, and he did not find out about the venue until the last minute. Neither did he find out about the menu, or more specifically, the lack of selection of the main course, until he was seated at the table. There was no choice to make, really, since there was only one vegetarian main course item. The plate of food was actually not bad; it was delicious, and the blend of spices was to his liking. It was just the fact that there was no choice which annoyed him.
