That was why he would rather take care of it himself. Hodge was the type of person who would like to feel in control of all the details. Once in a while, he did delegate, but most of the time, he liked to be in the front line leading his troops. So, while he was having a meal with his guest, the interior designer, in the restaurant, Hodge was still observing his surroundings, including the way his staff was serving his customers, the speed at which orders were presented, as well as the reactions of these customers.
