Still, lingering at the back of his mind was another big question: how could he ask his housemate the questions he had about the project without giving away too much and without resorting to lying. How deep would be rabbit hole be? Wolfe did not know, but he did not want to stop. All he could do was to take one step at a time. Wolfe tried to stop his train of thoughts by doing manual tasks: doing the laundry, cleaning out the desk, sweeping the floor and recycling the paper. In no time, he room was clean, but his mind was still cluttered.
